Members of CCO

All practising chiropractors in Ontario must be members of CCO.

There are four classes of categories of registration - General, Temporary, Inactive, Retired. The requirements for registration for these categories are described in Regulation R-003: Registration. Members holding a General (i.e., active) Certificate of Registration must comply with CCO regulations, standards of practice, policies and guidelines, as well as all Quality Assurance (QA) programs.

CCO views Quality Assurance as an important step in ensuring the public of Ontario receive competent and ethical chiropractic care.

Please review Policy P-052: Categories of Registration, for additional information on the requirements of complying with the QA programs and the requirements for transferring from an Inactive/Retired Certificate of Registration to the General status.
