Examinations
To be considered for registration, candidates must, within two years of graduation, apply for registration with CCO and successfully complete the following:
- Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board (CCEB) knowledge-based examinations;
- CCEB Clinical Competency Examinations; and
- CCO Legislation and Ethics Examination.

Legislation and Ethics Examinations
The purpose of the Legislation and Ethics Examination to test the applicant's knowledge of the legal, professional and ethical responsibilities and obligations governing the practice of chiropractic in Ontario.
Examination Fee
The fee for the CCO Legislation and Ethics exam is $180 (Canadian funds only). Payment is by certified cheque or money order only. Please make your payment to the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.
Study Materials
CCO will provide candidates with study material (regulations, standards of practice, policies, guidelines, etc.) upon receipt of the $180 examination application fee. In addition to the academic and examination requirements, an applicant must:
- Have not been found guilty of an offence that is relevant to the applicant's suitability to practise;
- Be able to speak and write English or French with reasonable fluency
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada or authorized under the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Act, 1994 (Canada) to engage in the practice of the profession
Record Keeping Workshop
CCO will be holding the next sitting of the Legislation and Ethics examination on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Following the examination, CCO will be presenting a Record Keeping Workshop at 11:30 am. Please visit back soon for further details.
